There are 2 levels of traineeships available which are specifically tailored for the real estate industry. These are: Certificate III and Certificate IV. The Certificate III qualifications are primarily for people employed in an office support capacity and the Certificate IV for people working in property management or sales or as a personal assistant or an office manager.
Each of these traineeships attracts substantial financial incentives to employers of eligible trainees. If you do not have a vocational qualification of Certificate III or higher your employer can receive some subsidy for employing you as a real estate trainee. If you do not have a vocational qualification of a Certificate II or higher, an employer would be eligible for more subsidy.
Traineeships with the Real Estate Institute involve around 3 days per month off the job training. This ensures that the trainee has not only the skills to survive in the job but the skills to work effectively and efficiently.
