You would be expected to be able to express yourself clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing. You would need to be a reasonably confident person who enjoys working with people. You would need to have initiative and be able to work without direct supervision. You will need to be prepared to learn new knowledge and skills. You will need to be reasonably good with figures.

Many agents prefer new employees to have completed the Property Consultants' or Assistant Property Managers' course prior to the application for a position.
