Employer Incentives to Employ Trainees

Employers receive substantial incentives from the federal government when they employ trainees who do not have a Certificate III or higher qualification.

Additional benefits may be available in special situations, for example if the trainee is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin or has a disability or has been long term unemployed.

It might be worth mentioning these incentives to a potential employer. The Real Estate Institute of Tasmania will be able to provide further information to the employer about these incentives.
