General Complaints
The REIT principally addresses complaints between REIT members that may arise. However, if a member of the public has a complaint against an agent, the REIT may also be able to assist in the first instance. Alternatively, the complainant can write to the Property Agent's Board, 2 Davey Street, Hobart and enclose all relevant documentation relating to their complaint.
Office of Consumer Affairs and Trading
The Office of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trading is part of the Tasmanian State Government's Justice Department and provides information on your rights as a consumer. They can be contacted by phoning 1300 654 499 or email consumer.affairs@justice.tas.gov.au
